Home for the Holidays
I have been fascinated for a while by the possibility of capturing barn quilts at night. This photo is of one of the most often-photographed barns of the original Adams County trail--the Double Lemoyne Star at Goodseedfarms in Peebles, Ohio.
The photo was taken by Stephen Boehme, the owners' son--if you can't quite tell, there is a pond in front of the barn, the double image is a reflection. I just love it because it has holiday lights!
Being home for the holidays will give me time to get the book wrapped up. Hmm didn't mean to include a corny pun, but since it came out that way, I will leave it!
If anyone is interested, I created a calendar with some of the photos from my journey this past year. I don't have a means--or the time--to sell them directly, but they are available at cafepress.com/quilttrails.
All the best to you

ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to hearing more about your book.
We have a wealth of quilt blocks on the barns here in north central Iowa, and more are being displayed each month.
Bravo to you and your project!
